Gilbane Conference, Boston MA, US
Back from a very long haul trip to Boston, MA. We visited the Gilbane Conference to get more information on the trends in ECM and content strategy especially for social, saas and cloud solutions. We listened to many interesting speakers, visited many vendor booths and saw some great demonstrations. I just want to highlight some of the vendors that I visited.
- First our good old Australian locals that are storming the globe, Elcom CMS. Very nice guys and a great product for the midrange-enterprise that want to do more with their content than just publish.
- Second an American initiative from California. Endplay, a SaaS based wcm system. Their presentation was rock solid and easy to follow. A new system that is built with one purpose, serving customers a state of the art WCM over the net.
- And last, a very interesting and 'structured' solution with Webnodes from Norway. A semantic WCM system that has high potential. The system has all normal WCM features but has a big plus on organisation and search engine improvements. Based on the semantic web principle and the semantic tags, search results can be improved drastically. For more information on semantic tags read schema.org and initiative of Google, Bing and Yahoo to improve the structured data search.

AIIM Conference
We probably will be visiting the AIIM Conference in March 2012 in San Fransisco to improve our knowledge on information management.
